2PointZero IT is far more than an IT Specialist. We are an Ipswich based IT Support and Managed Service Provider with a fantastic reputation for supporting Small to Medium Sized Businesses. Due to our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our team based in the Masterlord Village, in Ipswich, Suffolk. 

As the 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be managing the Remote Monitoring & Management and Call Logging systems. You will be maintaining on premise and cloud servers. 

Other responsibilities will include 

  • Provide phone and email helpdesk support
  • Workshop / project work – Building computers, servers and preparing new hardware for installation in clients offices
  • Documenting configuration changes to client networks 

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting clients via Telephone and email and leveraging our industry leading Helpdesk and Remote Support tools to assist clients with IT issues. Good customer service skills, at least 2 years’ experience in the IT field, a strong desire to progress, a friendly and positive attitude, knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365 and a basic knowledge of networking are required, knowledge of MacOS and Windows Server would be beneficial but not essential. You will need to hold a full UK Driving License. 

As the successful 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, you will be working 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday. In return, will receive an excellent salary package of £18,000- £22,000 per annum (based on experience) and other great company benefits. Company progression is great with us – You will be doing some onsite work once full training has been given.
