3rd Line Support IT Technician – Join a premier independent IT solutions provider based in Norwich!  Spider are advertising on behalf of an IT company who are looking for a 3rd Line Support IT Technician to join their team in Norwich, Norfolk.

About the role:

They are looking for an experienced, senior 3rd Line Support IT Technician to oversee the day to day running of their dedicated support team, facilitating the smoothing running and performance of the small but dedicated helpdesk team. You will be responsible for the assignment of tickets and handling of issues which have been escalated. You will complete tasks in a timely well communicated manor working with their clients and keep the senior management team informed.

The role will be primarily office based but you will be visiting client’s premises to complete visits, site visits as well as reviews with clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee support desk activities and manage staff
  • Act as the escalation point for unresolved incidents
  • Assist with installation, migration, and onboarding projects
  • Manage RMM solutions and key client accounts
  • Support the rollout of new services and platforms

About you:

As the ideal 3rd Line Support IT Technician you will be driven, self-motivated, and eager to bring new ideas to the table. You will ideally have 5+ years’ experience in a role at a similar level. Excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for IT solutions are essential for this role. Key skills include strong technical background with experience in supporting large/multiple environments, proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, Microsoft Servers & Desktops OS's, experience in virtualization & Azure Virtual Machine and experience of RMM packages or similar, ideally Halo RSA and Ninja RMM. As well as this, expertise in automated rollouts, setups, and software application distribution is ideal. Familiarity with modern networking platforms and hardware such as Ubiquiti, Sophos, Draytek, Fortinet & Mikrotik would be an advantage.  

 You will also hold a full driving license and access to your own vehicle, with a mileage allowance paid.
