Job Description

Accounts Administrator - Spider is advertising for an Accounts Administrator on behalf of a family- owned company which has been established over 45 years. They specialise in the supply of quality fixings solutions, fastenings, cable support, power tools, site equipment and consumables to the construction industry and allied trades. This Accounts Administrator role is a full-time, permanent position based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. 

The Role 

As the Accounts Administrator you will be responsible for looking after both accounts receivable and payable for the company. You will also take ownership of Accounts receivable which involves debt chasing, booking in all customer payments received, generating and sending customer invoices daily, and customer statements. Accounts payable involves booking in and approving supplier invoices for payment which will also be a key part of the role.  Other administration duties and support tasks will be included as and when required. 

They are looking for an Accounts Administrator with the following skills & attributes:

  • Previous experience working in an accounting or financial environment.
  • Ability to work within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Professional and courteous approach when communicating with customers
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding of basic accountancy and bookkeeping
  • Methodical, systematic and accurate.
  • Personable, friendly and conscientious
  • Adaptable and willing 

The Accounts Administrator will have a strong work ethic and be characterised by uprightness, honesty and integrity. 

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break. On offer is a salary of £23,000 – £25,000 per annum and 20 days annual leave plus birthday and public holidays.
