Audio Visual Engineer - Spider is working on behalf of an Audio-Visual Installation and Events Company providing quality systems for temporary or permanent use, helpful solutions & system integration. They are experiencing growth and are looking for an Audio-Visual Engineer to deliver the opportunities on a full-time permanent basis in Ipswich Suffolk.

As an Audio-Visual Engineer, you will be assisting in both Installation and event jobs. You will work with manufacturers to develop relationships related to equipment servicing (technical support, securing return authorizations, complete repair functions required to resolve customer issues). You shall Provide customers an elevated level of AV tech competencies & support as well as complete Preventative Maintenance visits to ensure all customer rooms and systems are operating in an optimum fashion.
Other key duties will include:
- Develop an on-going customer relationship, resulting in future customer loyalty
- Troubleshoot system issues to determine and find resolutions or appropriate usage
- Assemble reports and in-house paperwork to record customer interactions.
- Control and Audio-Visual Troubleshooting
To be a successful Audio-Visual Engineer you will need technical knowledge of video conferencing and audio-visual systems as well as se of audio and lighting desk. You will be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day. You will need to prioritise and work well under pressure. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and able to communicate at all levels and be competent to a high level of computer literacy. You will also need a full driving licence.
All their employees are supported with manufactures training programs as well as in-house training and with the convergence of AV-over-IT and control required on most installs. A knowledge of control systems, programming and IT would useful.
In return they are offering a salary of £18,000- £24,000 per annum (depending on experience). Other benefits will include on-site parking. You will be working Monday to Friday and some our-of-hours and weekend work so you must be flexible.
