Business Adviser – Spider is advertising on behalf of our client in the further education sector and provides a range of courses for students and work-based learning students. They are now currently recruiting for a Business Adviser to join their team, in Ipswich, Suffolk.
They have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Business Adviser to join the College at an exciting time for the Business Development Team to support the College with the next stage of growth in relation to an extensive range of employer engagement. This includes the recruitment of apprenticeships as well as promoting key initiatives such as work-ready training, work experience, industry placement and short courses.
Liaising with employers, prospective learners, and apprentices, as well as working closely in conjunction with the apprenticeship team, you will be promoting recruitment activities under the management of the Business Development Coordinator and Head of Business Development. You will build effective relationships with employers and provide a first point of contact to a portfolio of customers.
They are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in successfully supporting Business Development teams in providing a responsive service, undertaking recruitment, meeting targets, and maintaining the reputation of the organisation as well as the ability to represent the organisation both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education including English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent and a relevant professional qualification. The ideal candidate will also have experience within a Business Development or similar industry, strong negotiation skills, understanding and experience of employer engagement including the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and successful recruitment outcomes.
This post is based at Suffolk New College, Rural Campus, however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, and you will therefore be required to work at and travel between campuses.
In return, the salary on offer is £23,451 - £25,038 per annum (depending on experience). Working hours are 37 hours per week. Other benefits include Career Average Pension Scheme in which employees contribute between 5.5% and 12.5% depending on salary and holiday of 20 days per annum pro rata rising one day per year pro rata to a maximum of 25 days per annum pro rata, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure days.
