Job Description

Business Advisor – Environmental. Spider is advertising on behalf of a community charity with a green heart.  They believe that big global issues – the economy, the environment – have a big local impact. This brilliant organisation operates throughout the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face and are currently searching for an Environmental Business Advisor to join their fantastic team based in Ipswich, covering Suffolk and Essex areas.

They have over 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as catalyst for building a more sustainable future. The business service offering is developing and growing, and as a result, they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Environmental Business Advisor able to evidence their history of working with businesses to identify their carbon footprint, energy, and resource use to join their team.

As an Environmental Business Advisor, you will deliver on-site and distant environmental and energy efficiency support, work with emission calculator tools, understand business costs (both environmental and financial) and find opportunities for improvement through energy efficiency measures. This includes support provided through environmental audits and reviews, carbon foot printing, environmental legislation, and the development of sustainability and carbon management strategies. You will also present this support in relevant intervention templates tailoring them to the clients’ needs and provide follow-up support as required.

About you:

To be the Environmental Business Advisor, the successful candidate will have a degree, post graduate, or professional environmental management qualification, as well as a proven track record in undertaking carbon foot printing services to businesses. The role requires a valid driving license, access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel along with excellent communication, organisational, and diplomacy skills.

This wonderful opportunity is available full time 37.5 hours per week or part-time 22.5 hours per week for the right candidate. You will be covering both Suffolk and Essex as part of this role. On offer is a salary of £22,591-£25,863 per annum. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to be extended.

If you are looking for your next or new challenge and would love to be part of this fantastic organisation, then our client would love to hear from you.  Please forward a completely up-to-date CV which outlines your relevant experience for this role to be considered.
