Business Development Manager - Spider Recruitment Services, the specialist recruitment division of Spider are currently working with one of the UK’s leading trailer manufacturing companies based in Essex who are looking for a full-time permanent Business Development Manager to be based in Bristol.This vacancy is created due to an internal promotion.
They are paying a very attractive basic salary of £30k - £40k + package DOE (monthly uncapped commission, company car, phone and laptop).
Our client originally specialised in supplying Councils and Public Utility companies with parts, components and spares for trailers and other towable equipment but as the times changed these organisations changed with it and the plant hire industry grew and became a significant part of their customer base.
You will be sourcing new business and building on existing client base by infiltrating the following sectors: Plant Hire, Councils, Utilities, Commercial Fleet Operators, Military, Construction, Landscaping, Forestry and Leisure.
Ideally the suitable candidate will be based in the Bristol area. This is a territory management role and only suited to someone who is focused on giving a good customer experience, managing and growing accounts as well being a self-starter. You will have autonomy to plan and manage your own diary which takes forward thinking and detailed planning.
Reporting straight to the Sales Director and Managing Director, this role enables the successful candidate to work from home. You will even be given an existing ledger of business to maintain and grow as well as a huge patch to work on solely to seek out, target and ultimately on-board new businesses.
They are looking to hear from field sales and business development who are looking for career progression or current business development managers who wanting to increase their earnings and join an expanding and forward thinking company due to business growth.
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for developing new clients for new and used trailers but also maintaining and servicing existing key accounts throughout the region.
- Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
- Maintain existing client base
- Manage your own day/diary effectively
- Networking with Industry partners who have mutual interests
- Build rapport with key customers by face to face visits and regular telephone contact.
- Ensure that each key account achieves their annual spend target.
- Introduce new products including capital expenditure items
- Follow-up on all quotes relating to your accounts.
- Ensure that stock is checked at regular intervals as agreed with the customer.
- 3+yrs proven commercial sales experience
- Full UK Driving license
- Strong Experience in CRM Management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of the northern region geographically
- Excellent time management
- Excellent day/diary management
This role would suit someone who has a proven track record within either Automotive, Transportation, Plant hire or a similar commercial sector.
