CAD Technician – Looking for an exciting and varied role, in at the deep end, in a growing organisation with multi-million pound projects that can develop into a long-term career in commercial property development with a major, national owner occupier?
You may not have heard of us, but Maritime Transport is the country’s leading independent transport and logistics operator, currently with 36 sites, (offices, depots, rail terminals), across the UK. We deliver over 20,000 full-load containers or trailers for our customers to warehouses and stores every day.
We are recruiting for a CAD Technician/Project Management Trainee to join our small, but busy Property Department to train under an experienced Project Manager. In addition to CAD work, you will learn, hands-on, how to manage and administer projects and costings for a career in project and potentially wider property management with one of the country’s most ambitious and successful transport companies.
The Role (with training and guidance):
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Preparing CAD drawings for properties and developments within the Company’s estate and for projects, as required
- Assisting with Employer’s Requirements and tender documents for a wide range of projects
- Attending site visits to inspect live developments with the Project Manager
- Engaging with contractors, designers, and other related professional advisors
- Supporting the Project Management team, as required
Characteristics & Skills:
You will be/have:
- Highly conscientious, versatile hard worker with a keen eye for detail
- A quick and willing learner keen to get on
- Excellent communications and IT skills
- Property-related CAD experience/capability
- A full driving licence (preferably clean)
The hours will be 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday (or other, as required). The successful applicant will enjoy a great starting salary up to £22,000 per annum and benefits package based on experience and a progressive career with excellent financial rewards.
