Customer Support Coordinator – Logistics Do you have a passion for logistics? So, what’s this job all about

As Customer Support Coordinator you will be responsible for creating UK road loads for our customer Tata Steel in their SAP system and ensuring that delivery plans are met, and loads are optimised for payload and cost. 

Other key responsibilities will include: 

  • Plan loads for UK road movements to all UK delivery points, including management of urgencies
  • Provide information on planned loads to customer services and respond to any queries as they arise
  • Maximise payloads by selecting best combination of goods including opportunities for multi-drops
  • Liaise closely with customer and suppliers
  • Prepare documentation to facilitate customer returns
  • Ensure that information in the system is accurate and updated as required
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to road planning for customer services and external warehouses
  • Deputise for Despatch Planning and Road Scheduling Team Leader as appropriate 

As the Customer Support Coordinator, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and manage own workload, and will be comfortable working with IT systems, including Microsoft Office. Experience within logistics is desirable, as well as good numerical skills, knowledge of health and safety and a positive customer attitude. Experience with SAP is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
