Job Description

Director of Care and Support Are you experienced at working at a senior operational level?  Do you have experience of collaborating with a range of stakeholders, leading inspections, monitoring large budgets, and working at a strategic level?  If so they would love to hear from you as they are looking for a Director of Care and Support to join their team, based from their office in Lowestoft, covering Suffolk and Norfolk.

About the role:

The Director of Care and Support will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Board, and colleagues to lead on the development, quality, delivery and sustainable growth of Trust’s Care and Support portfolio. As a member of the SLT, you will be required to deliver great quality service, meet our strategic objectives and the needs of our customers and residents whilst ensuring the Trust is a compliant, sustainable, and successful organisation, championing social inclusion awareness in all aspects of work.

 Other key responsibilities:

  • Respond to sector changes and market intelligence to inform our strategic direction.
  • Track KPI’s, collaborate with other Director’s and SLT, lead and enable compliance on all mandated matters, monitor Care and Support services, and deliver cost effective services.
  • Lead and inspire change and a high-performance culture and use appropriate leadership styles.
  • Be accountable for performance and growth targets.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and assist colleagues as required.
  • Maintain budgets and support audit process.
  • Work within organisations health and safety procedures and set examples of good practice, ensuring accidents are always reported.

About you:

You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing high performing teams as you will be instrumental in the management of our customer focused operations.  You will enjoy the variety that comes from managing multiskilled teams, travelling to our hubs and communities and being part of our ambitious senior leadership team.

It is essential that you, as the Director of Care and Support, have experience of working at a senior level in an operational area and working at a strategic level. You must have strong financial awareness and excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams to deliver a high-quality service. Excellent written and verbal communication is required, effective decision-making skills and ability to navigate complex issues is also desired. You will have knowledge of Care and Support services, and employment services.  Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.  You must be able to travel as required to meetings and training.
