Spider is advertising on behalf of a Grounds Maintenance company who are currently recruiting Solar Ground Maintenance Operatives. This company specializes in essential maintenance and expert install support to all sectors of the renewables industry. They are based in Diss, Norfolk but due to a new and exciting contract the company they are seeking experienced Solar Ground Maintenance Operatives to work and travel within the Midlands and Southern area of the UK. Their specialist focus on utility scale solar and onshore wind sees us working with many of the UK sector's leading ops, maintenance, and asset managers, delivering a full portfolio of support services. Their team is growing, and they need the right person to grow with them! 

As the Solar Ground Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for: 

  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Grass cutting with various machines ranging from mowers to tractor mounted flails
  • Strimming
  • Spraying
  • Tree works from felling to planting
  • New planting maintenance
  • Fencing
  • Hedge cutting
  • Winter Maintenance 

The Solar Ground Maintenance Operative to demonstrate a positive self-starting approach and the desire to get the job done. Their work is a key part of keeping the world of renewable energy working well and while the job is physically demanding and varied it genuinely makes a difference. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of grounds maintenance. You will be supported in developing your skills and career with a wide range of machinery, activities, and opportunities however they are ideally looking for the right candidate to be experienced who can hit the ground running! Joining this fantastic company as a Solar Ground Maintenance Operative you will receive a competitive salary of £20,000- £23,000 per annum, depending upon experience and completion of a satisfactory 6-month probation and the opportunity for progression. You will have our own work vehicle and fuel card. Whilst they aim to keep work as local as possible, occasional overnight stays are necessary as well as some travelling. You can be based within your local area but travelling will be required for this role!
