HR Consultant (Part time) – PS Human Resources is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our successful, friendly, and supportive team. Due to our continued success, we are looking to further support our ambitious growth strategy. We are looking to recruit a part-time HR consultant (3-4 days per week) who can professionally handle a range of HR needs for a variety of clients. This could be undertaking HR project work to acting as an on-site HR manager. No day is ever the same.

PSHR is a locally based HR consultancy that operates within a range of industries and sectors providing tailored HR services around the UK.

As a HR Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting an existing client base as well as for new clients. Delivering an outstanding outsourced HR service, in line with legal compliance, best practice and their company values.     

The key responsibilities of the HR Consultant will be:

  • Supporting businesses with their HR strategy and plans from creation to implementation
  • Provide commercial HR advice to a client base on a range of ER related issues in line with employment law and best practice
  • Produce a variety of HR resources including contracts, letters templates, company handbooks, policies and procedures
  • Supporting clients with recruitment activities, onboarding and induction strategies
  • Creation and role out of management development programs
  • Produce and deliver bespoke training and learning to the client base
  • Have frequent contact with business owners and senior leaders on site and face to face as well as via email and telephone
  • Effectively manage complex HR projects including restructures, T&C’s changes, job evaluations and TUPE
  • Support the client base with the use of an HR system offering, BreatheHR
  • Support PSHR’s business development by undertaking networking, writing blogs and other social media posts, helping identify new clients and generate additional business where possible, without hard sales!

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Have at least 5 years generalist HR experience to advise clients confidently, whilst being able to translate the complicated into easy to understand.
  • Be CIPD qualified, ideally to level 7.
  • Be able to handle and manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Effectively project manage complex and multiple case loads
  • Be customer-focused and always want to provide the best service.
  • Be up to date in Employment Law topics and continuously develop your own knowledge base.
  • Be able to identify additional areas of support for our clients.
  • Have a personality! People do business with people. We want to get the right person to fit into our team and work with our clients.
  • Experience of working as an HR professional within a variety of industries and business sizes – particularly SME’s, would be beneficial
  • Experience of working as an HR Consultant previously would also be advantageous but not essential 

The role is a hybrid position, with working time split between the office, working from home and frequent travel to client sites across East Anglia.
