Job Description

Human Resources Manager - Spider is advertising on behalf of a highly successful hospitality company based in Ufford, near Woodbridge in Suffolk who are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team.   

As the part-time Human Resources Manager, you will provide HR expertise to our expanding award-winning organisation, supporting all people managers and Heads of Department.

The role is extremely varied and offers the successful applicant the opportunity to work across all aspects and areas of Human Resources. 

Other key duties include: 

  • Review employment policies and staff handbook regularly and recommend changes by keeping up to date with new laws and best practice
  • Improve and develop new HR processes and procedures
  • Ensure all employees have an appropriate contract of employment
  • Provide HR reports to line managers as required
  • Support recruitment processes at Ufford Park
  • Prepare new starter paperwork including offer letters and contracts
  • Be the first point of contact for the Managing Director, Hotel Manager, Heads of Department, and employees on HR related issues.
  • Providing advice, guidance and professional support on all employee issues
  • Ensure training records and sickness/absence records are properly recorded
  • Ensure appraisals and monthly one-to-ones are carried out and appropriately documented.
  • Carry out exit interviews and provide feedback to Heads of Department and Directors as appropriate
  • Liaise with the Finance Team to ensure that all information required for payroll processing and pension administration is provided (starters, leavers and other changes)
  • Deal with HR and pension queries from employees
  • Assisting the Managing Director with any other HR-related duties which may be required

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Dynamic and experienced HR professional accustomed to working in a professional office environment in a generalist HR role
  • CIPD qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills and able to build and maintain good relationships with all levels of
  • management and staff
  • Excellent IT skills and confidence in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role in the hospitality, leisure or retail industries 

This Human Resources Manager position is a Part Time position. 22.5 hours per week.   On offer is a salary of £30,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience as well as excellent benefits including:  meals whilst on shift, free parking, a staff reward scheme, 28 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays) and Company Pension Scheme.
