About the role:

You will be a bright and innovative IT Engineer (Level 3) who can take the lead in delivering projects on-time and within budget as well as assisting with Helpdesk escalations and client estate management / development. You must possess excellent organisation skills and be able to deliver project work ranging from simple installation of workstations to more complicated Cloud migrations and be willing to assist the Helpdesk Team when they have queries or need assistance. Throughout the delivery of projects or when working to assist the Helpdesk Team, you must record your time accurately and communicate well with both your customers and your colleagues and be proud to deliver the best service to clients. You will be joining a friendly team in Crouch End, in spacious offices in North London.

In industry terms, you need to be someone who has strong Level 2 or Level 3 engineering experience who is looking for new and rewarding challenges. You should be used to working with Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server (both physical and virtualised with VMware and Hyper-V), Azure and On Prem Active Directory, Intune and Microsoft 365 environments, as well as good working knowledge of PSA tools such as Autotask. Ideally, you will also have a good working knowledge of networking and have had exposure to Google Workspace. You need to be passionate about taking ownership of your role and finding ways to develop and improve existing processes.

Certifications aren’t everyone’s strong point and its experience and enthusiasm for the job which really counts, so this needn’t put you off if you know you’re up to the job!

The ideal candidate will:

  • Attained or at least one relevant accreditation (MSCE/MCP, VCP, or similar).
  • Demonstrate good implementation skills and knowledge in the following: Windows Servers, M365, Azure, Intune, Virtualisation, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Internet connectivity, LAN/WAN deployment and basic networking knowledge; VLANs, routing etc.

On offer is a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. Starting at 21 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) and increasing each year of service up to a total of 25. They want their staff to be well rested! Continual professional development plans – they don’t want their staff to get stuck in a rut and they like to reward success. Ideally you will need a full, clean UK Driving License - a strong plus but not absolutely required.

You will be working 40 hours per week, between 9am – 6pm (Monday – Friday). You will be joining their team at their North London offices in Crouch End.

As some of their clients work with children, you will need to pass a DBS check as there will be occasions that you need to go out on-site to meet clients or work on their sites (they will provide this at no cost upon completion of the interview process).
