Job Coach – United Response are looking for a Job Coach to join our amazing Supported Employment Team on a 12-month FTC basis!

Making it happen - your role
We are looking to recruit a Job Coach at our York City Centre supported employment service which supports individuals into employment across several locations. As a job coach you will be required to support people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs into paid employment and/or voluntary positions and work experience.
You will be flexible and creative in supporting individuals to access employment and be able to identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face.
What we need from you
To be a great Job Coach, you don’t necessarily need to come from a social care background but if you have a keen interest in making a difference and engaging with people and you are patient, empathetic and a good communicator then we would like to hear from you. You will also need good IT and self-management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, understand the supported employment process and basic knowledge of social enterprises.
As the Job Coach you MUST be able to travel as you will be coaching a PWS in a 12-month work placement based outside of York, close to Knaresborough however you will also need to be flexible to support others in the York area. We offer both formal and on the job training, and our national specialists are on hand to provide expert advice and support in best practice, inclusion, quality and health and safety, providing exceptional support and making a difference to people’s lives. You will be fully inducted working alongside experienced colleagues.
