Lead Senior Support Worker– We have an exciting opportunity for an empathetic and passionate Lead Senior Support Worker, with relevant experience to join our team in Maidstone, Kent on a full-time basis.

Making it happen - Your Role.
We are looking for a Lead Senior Support Worker to guide and lead a team. You will be working with a visually impaired gentleman with learning disabilities and complex communication needs as a result of severe head injury in childhood. The individual is dependent on staff for at least verbal prompts but also some direct support with personal care, access to food, drinks & medication. He is a vulnerable individual who requires 1:1 support daily.
There is a risk of infrequent, perhaps monthly outbursts from the individual that are usually directed at objects or at themselves. We seek to minimize such incidents by training staff and yourself to recognize potential triggers, early alert indicators & break-away techniques in order to keep themselves safe.
We welcome people from all walks of life to apply for a job with us. As a Lead Senior Support Worker some experience in a supervisory role within a Health and Social care environment is essential. We also require you to hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
You will be forward thinking, responsive & caring with a positive approach to support complex individuals and providing personal care. Experience of working in support of people with learning disabilities and to respond positively to behaviour support plans. You will be available for shift work as this role will include shift work and approximately 4-5 sleep-in duties per month.
This Lead Senior Support Worker role is a permanent, full time position. On offer is a competitive salary of £9.91 per hour.
