Job Description

Logistics Coordinator – Spider is advertising on behalf of a family-owned Waste & Recycling business based in Gt Blakenham, Suffolk. They are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support their busy logistics and sales team. 

As the Logistics Coordinator you will be assisting with the loads-out operation of the business by ensuring that the process from collection to arrival at destination is fully supported by the relevant goods in haulage documentation.  You will also be supporting the sales function of the business by dealing with customer queries in terms of both sales & operations and assisting with various ad-hoc marketing campaigns. This is a very varied role which requires flexibility, commitment, and a substantial desire to learn and grow with the flourishing business.

 Other duties you will be required to:

  • Receive paperwork from our operations department and check and complete the documentation within the allocated time allowed.
  • Prepare accurate Bills of Lading and all ensuring all export documentation is Customs Clearance compliant
  • Follow up quotations, process orders, answer calls/ emails relating to customer queries, resolve any outstanding issues raised, oversee completion of orders, and ensure company CRM system up to date.
  • Communicate with Haulage Lines to ensure prompt collection and delivery of shipments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has experience within a logistics background, ideally with a good understanding of Bills of Lading, export documentation and particularly the new Customs Declaration rules. There will be some element of sales within this role, some previous experience with sales would be beneficial. You will need excellent organisational, time management and communication skills both verbal and written. Good experience with Microsoft including Word, Outlook & Excel would also be beneficial.

This is a full-time, permanent role. On offer is a salary range between £23000 and £25000 per annum (depending on experience). Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.15pm, with 20 days (plus Bank Holidays). Due to the location, you will need own transport and free parking is provided.
