We have opportunities for Manufacturing Apprentice to join our apprenticeship programme within a high-tech Production environment at our site on Parham Airfield, close to Framlingham.
As a Manufacturing Apprentice, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the continual process of manufacturing. You will learn the process of manufacturing Fibre optic cables and micro ducts utilising polymer extrusion technology. Whilst operating the process from start to finish you will gain excellent mechanical engineering skills.
There may be opportunities for further training towards Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, allowing you to conduct maintenance and keep the machinery up and running.
Apprentices will undertake a level 3 qualification in a science/technology or engineering discipline relevant to the role, which recognises the standards required to become a registered Science Technician (RSciTech) or Engineering Technician (EngTech) with a professional body.
As well as developing your practical skills, you will be gaining knowledge and experience in an evolving technological company.
- You must have a minimum of English, Maths and Science GCSEs grades A-C/8-4 (or equivalent) or work towards achieving these as part of the apprenticeship.
- We are based on Parham Airfield, close to Framlingham and so your own transport is necessary.
This is a full time position and on offer is a minimum of £8,482.50 (£4.35 per hour) dependant on age related NMW, for working 37.5 hours a week as well as excellent benefits including a company pension scheme, a healthcare scheme, cycle to work scheme, holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays and an employee discount scheme.
