Material Logistics Coordinator – Spider is advertising on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded scientific equipment brand manufacturer, who are looking for Material Logistics Coordinator to join their company based in Ipswich, on a fixed-term basis.

As the Material Logistics Coordinator your role will be a critical part of the business. Using your import and export knowledge you will facilitate the receiving moving and shipping of supplies, stock materials and products. You will manage the flow of orders requiring strong reliance on monitoring and co-ordination of delivery pickup and/or drop off schedules. You will execute the logistics plan for both domestic and international projects with an emphasis on controlling costs while meeting schedule, customer and compliance requirements.
- Full clean driving licence
- Fork lift licence
- A good team player with the ability to work without supervision.
- Good communications skills, IT literate, MS Office,
- Always maintaining a positive approach, an essential trait in a department that has many different inputs and challenges.
- The ability to seek and implement improvement opportunities.
- Quality awareness
- Knowledge of import export procedures and customs requirements
- Very organised with great attention to detail
- Knowledge of working within a receiving and/or distribution environment.
- Manual Handling Operations and EHS expectations when moving a variety of weights.
- Kinetic Lifting Methods
- Experience in mechanical assembly within a light engineering environment
- HMRC customs compliance
This is a full-time fixed term role, which is physically demanding, and you will be required to follow all Health & Safety, PPE and ESD procedures in force as per company rules.
