Job Description

Office & Finance Manager – Spider is currently advertising on behalf of a client, who has an exciting opportunity for an Office & Finance Manager to be based within their farm Estate Office in Kirton, situated between Ipswich & Felixstowe. This is a pivotal role with the responsibility for the day to day running of all aspects of the Farm office accounts, payroll and administration functions.

As the Office & Finance Manager you will be working directly for the Estate owner. They are looking for someone with accounting and finance experience, as well as strong organisational skills to run the accounts and all aspects of the Estate and farming administration/record keeping. This will also involve assisting with managing various properties across the Estate as and when required.

Office & Finance Manager duties include:

  • Full responsibility for the banking and finance, including VAT returns, pension payments, payroll, raising and processing invoices and month end cash flow reporting (this constitutes 60% of the role).
  • Full responsibility for all aspects of administration relating to the farming and property businesses (this constitutes 40% of the role).
  • Maintenance of the Farmplan finance, farming, and property databases. Training for Farmplan software will be given.
  • Liaison with tenants and outside suppliers.
  • All aspects of Health & Safety.

The skills required:

  • Sound financial experience to carry out the above duties is fundamental.
  • Strong computer and IT skills.
  • Ability to think on your feet and work unsupervised.
  • Farming experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Own transport is essential due to the rural location.

This is a full-time position. On offer is a competitive and negotiable remuneration package up to £40,000 dependent on experience which will be discussed at interview stage.
