Job Description

Purchasing Administrator - PPC – A Belden brand, is the global leader in connective technology. PPC's award-winning connectors, cables and accessories are used by cable systems, satellite networks and wireless businesses around the world. We are now looking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join our team at Parham Airfield, near Framlingham, Suffolk on a permanent basis.   

The Purchasing Administrator will carry out the purchasing function within a continuous production environment. You will place required orders and liaise with venders on a daily basis whilst providing updates to the wider team, supporting the Supply Planner as required.   

The Purchasing Administrator key duties will include:   

  • Place purchase REQs in ERP (SAP) system as requested by relevant departments 

  • Progress open purchase orders to ensure requested delivery date is adhered too 

  • Ensure auto send purchase orders are received by supplier and lead time confirmed 

  • Update SAP in line with forecast demands ensuring the delivery dates are in line with expected demands and open orders 

  • Prepare purchasing info records to ensure correct buying prices are always used 

  • Ensure source lists are up to date on the correct vendors 

  • Work with Finance on any invoice queries 

  • Support the supply chain function in order to achieve KPI’s 

  • Working closely with logistics, warehouse and CSR  

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.   

About you:   

Ideally you will have previous ERP experience, SAP, APICS or ASCM knowledge is advantageous but not essential. You will also be educated to GCSE level or above and have proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and ideally a relevant ERP software. SAP training provided as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with individuals at all levels is imperative along with ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace.   

This Purchasing Administrator position is a Full-Time position.  Offering a starting salary of £25,000 per annum as well as a company pension, healthcare, an employee discount scheme, cycle to work scheme, paid time off for community charity work and a holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays.  Due to the rural location, it is essential you have your own transport, as site location is short drive off A12 and there are no direct public transport links, there is free parking on site.
