You will work closely with the Packhouse Team Leader and Yard Manager to maintain high standards of raw material quality, ensure efficient packing processes, and uphold our food safety culture. As their business continues to grow, you’ll also play a crucial role in planning our facility expansion, working with their Technical Manager to develop and implement BRC systems.

Other duties will include:

  • Lead and train the packhouse team to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and food safety culture.
  • Work closely with the Business Owner and Yard Manager to understand all aspects of our potato production process.
  • Maintain and complete all production records accurately.
  • Assist in stock control of packaging and coordinate with Engineering to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Partner with the Planner & Stock Controller to achieve On-Time-In-Full delivery scores.
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels and minimise wastage.
  • Efficiently allocate resources across shift teams.

Shift Pattern:

This role is based on a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, but flexibility is key to fit around business needs.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will need to have excellent people skills and problem-solving abilities. At least 5 years of experience in the food or drink industry, and ideally 2 years in QA/QC roles. Supervisory or management experience would be desirable.
