Quality Assurance Technician – Geosense, a leading manufacturer of Geotechnical sensors. We are looking for an experience and hands on Quality Assurance Technician to join our team based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The Quality Assurance Technician job purpose is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. QA is applied to physical products in pre-production to verify what will be made meets specifications and requirements, and during manufacturing production runs by validating that samples meet specified quality controls.
Other duties include:
- To check in all machined items against technical drawings to assess the suitability and fit for purpose of those items. To transfer those items after inspection from the quarantine warehouse to the relevant warehouse and into stock ready for use.
- To raise concerns when items fail to pass quality controls in place. To raise complaints/NCR’s for suppliers who fall below the quality standards set by Geosense. Supplier issues will be investigated by QA staff until a satisfactory outcome has been established. (All complaints/NCR’s will be signed off by the quality manager or his representative and filed ready for review at management meetings.)
- Weekly meeting will take place between QA staff and the quality manager to discuss outstanding issues and possible solutions.
The ideal Quality Assurance Technician will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in quality production and knowledge of the industry. You will be computer literate, experience in delivering robust solutions to production, quality and safety. Practical approach to problem solving, Hands-on with clear communicator - verbal and written. You will be initiative and have enthusiasm. You will have the ability to work calmly under pressure.
On offer is a salary between £23,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience. Hours of work will be 9:00am to 5:30pm – Monday to Friday, although some evening and weekend work may be necessary. Full training will be provided either on-the-job or via third parties as required.
