Quality Compliance Engineer – Spider is advertising on behalf of a client that are looking for a calm-natured problem-solver with a passion for aviation to join us in this exciting full-time, permanent position as Quality Compliance Engineer based in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

About the role:

As a Quality Compliance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing compliance and quality performance across MOD contracts. With a calm, analytical, and methodical approach, you will liaise directly with the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). Your expertise will help ensure ARCo continues to meet rigorous aviation standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain all quality elements within the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continual improvement.
  • Act as the primary Quality Point of Contact for all MOD contract customers and internal stakeholders, fostering a customer-focused and quality-driven culture.
  • Conduct independent compliance audits against current and future company approvals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing Corrective Action Plans where required.
  • Prepare, compile, and coordinate all quality documentation for MOD contracts, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Review external audit findings and collaborate on management reviews to support continuous improvement initiatives and quality enhancement across the business.

About you:

As a Quality Compliance Engineer, you will be a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in aviation or military aviation, bringing proven experience from a civil (Part145) or military maintenance environment. You understand the MOD Military Aviation Airworthiness Regulatory Framework and are committed to maintaining and improving standards of compliance and quality. Ideally, you hold formal quality assurance training and relevant aeronautical qualifications. Your methodical mindset, communication skills, and collaborative approach will make you an integral part of their quality team.
