Scaffolding Supervisor - Spider is advertising on behalf of a company who have been providing scaffolding services to their customers across the commercial, domestic, and industrial sectors for over 30 years; erecting, maintaining, inspecting, and dismantling hundreds of scaffolding projects.

They undertake contracts of all sizes, ensuring the same level of professionalism to every project, big or small. Whether it’s domestic scaffolding or commercial scaffolding for multi-story construction projects, retail sites and developments.

The Role:

They currently have an opportunity for an experienced, Scaffolding Supervisor to join the business, on a permanent basis. The role will work out of our Ipswich yard in Suffolk, with extensive travel to working sites across the East Anglia area.

The company are seeking applications from those that are, as a minimum, Part 2 qualified, however ideally holding an advanced scaffolder CISRS card, with similar experience. The role is to supervise, manage and motivate a busy team, whilst ensuring all scaffolding activities are completed to a high standard and in a safe, competent manner in line with their safe working procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision of scaffolders on site – including direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Working closely with management on a daily basis, allocating work, to meet the demands of the business.
  • Provide feedback to management with performance, progress and issues raised.
  • Ensure all employees and subcontractors comply with health & safety standards including risk assessments and ensuring all are wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Liaise with Site managers and relevant third parties.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience within the scaffolding industry; As a minimum part 2 qualified, preferably holding an advanced scaffolder CISRS card.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Multi – site management.
  • Communication skills.
