Suffolk Chamber is looking looking for a knowledgeable and driven team leader to manage our established team of business advisers within the New Anglia Growth Hub team.
As Senior Business Adviser Team Leader, you will be responsible for the Business Growth Advisers across Suffolk, assisting the Growth Hub Manager in ensuring the smooth and consistent delivery of quality business support, and ensuring accurate reporting and administration of the team.
You and your team will be assessing the growth potential and needs of new and established businesses, spotting barriers to success and agreeing a plan of action to overcome them. By raising awareness of the support on offer and identifying ways to support business growth, you will be helping local businesses to achieve their potential.
The ideal candidate will have a wide range of business knowledge and understanding of business plans, with the ability to diagnose issues, solutions and opportunities. With extensive experience in business management or managing an SME business, you will be adept in achieving tasks against set deadlines and be able to communicate information to a wide business audience. You will have a good understanding of supervising a team of remote workers, and will be able to provide clear and concise reports in a timely manner.
With the knowledge of how to work with business to build relationships that support economic development, you will understand the barriers to business growth and the ways around them and have good knowledge of key national and local organisations that support economic, business and employment development.
You will be able to work with minimum supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation, as well as being able to work toward shared objectives. With good negotiating and influencing skills, you will be confident in communicating via telephone, in person and by written correspondence.
This role involves travel across Norfolk and Suffolk so the candidate must have a full driving licence and transport for business use.
This is a full-time position is fully funded by ERDF and is for a fixed term to 31st August 2021 subject to continued funding. We are offering a full-time salary of £36,000 to £38,000pa (depending on relevant experience), along with expenses, company pension, and healthcare package.
