Support Worker– We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Maidstone, Kent. The Supported Living service is purpose built for the small, shared household and the single person service attached. As the successful Support Worker, you will be working in a bright and homely supported living service alongside a very experienced and supportive team.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Helping with daily chores such as cooking and cleaning
- Administering medication
- Accompanying individuals on leisure activities
- Manual handling
- Helping run activity sessions including arts and gardening.
- Personal care
- Supporting with positive behavioural needs.
People have high needs regarding communication and are dependent in most areas of their lives. Therefore, an understanding of positive behaviour support would be an advantage, as would previously experience and ability to drive but these are not essential skills as we are keen to offer training and support to our colleagues.
This Support Worker role is a permanent, with full time and part time positions available. On offer is a competitive salary of £8.91 per hour. This role will involve elements of sleep-ins (for which you will be paid), evenings and weekend work so flexibility is essential.
